Road Trip to ASCA Nat
Road Trip 2007

2007 was a mixed year for us here at Ivoryisle. Early plans for the beginning of the year to do some agility really didn't pay off as Loki took a tumble on a course and needed a much longer recovery than we thought.

That being said the little guy started the year with a bang picking up his OA OAJ titles. Loki did manage to pick up a number of ASCA agility titles including his outstanding performance title in Gamblers (he is great, his handler sucks at it!!!) as well as his JS-N & JS-O and RS-O titles.

Strider and Rah met some sheep early on in the year and with the excellent handling of Shelly at Nationals (USASA) Strider picked up his first HT leg.

We did a wonderful Road Trip across the country. Darren came with us for the first half of the trip! America truly has some of the most amazing natural beauty. Highlights of the trip were the Grand Canyon and Mesa Verdi. The VLA was awesome and it really put on quiet a show for us. You can see a heap of photos and a bit of story on our Road Trip 07.

Strider only graced the ring once or twice last year making cuts at USASA Nationals and picking up a Group 3 on the way home. Strider's offspring from the Frankie cross did us proud finishing their ASCA Championships. Sydney and Taos are now almost finished their AKC title and both have both their majors. Icey out of the first Min X Strider cross also picked up a couple of Novice Standard and Jumpers legs. We are hoping she makes a splash and finishes those titles in 2008!

Loki ended the ASCA Merit list for conformation Ranked number 23 being only shown 5 times that year. Unfortunately he was unable to show at Nationals because his breeder was one of the top 30 judges but in the end we ended up with a litter on the ground instead.

Rah has spent most of this year working on her agility and is coming along nicely. She has a distinct love of the teeter and making it crash! Go figure!

We had a wonderful litter from out gal Minnie to Cruzan (Thornapple Single Barrel) who caught our eye last year and really left us with a good impression after Nationals. Minnie produced 7 wonderful pups who are now all over California and one traveled as far as Oklahoma and Texas. We were looking for a Black Tri boy but Shelly Hollen of Shalako Aussies whisked him away to Texas. Camp as he is known picked up a BOBp and BOSp his first weekend out.

Venti a cute blue boy was our keeper and just a delightful little boy he is. We are hoping for great things out of this boy in the future.

Minnie our foundation bitch found a wonderful retirement home with Kathy & her husband. We are so thrilled or her, we could not have wished for better. Apparently she has already readjusted the house rules and loving life to the fullest.

We have some big plans for 2008 so please stay tuned to see what we get up to however we do not have any plans for litters!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the wonderful owners of an IvoryIsle puppy. We have been very blessed with awesome homes and made some wonderful friendships along the way. The dog show world can be a stressful place as any competition orientated thing can be but it has been a joy to raise two lovely litters in the last two years and it reminds me why I enjoy doing this. Thank you! Hug your pups from me!
