IvoryIsle Australian Shepherds

2006 was a busy year at IvoryIsle. We had to balance agility, conformation, raising a litter plus set aside a month for our drive across the US to Nationals.

Our Road Trip to ASCA Nationals, not only was successful for IvoryIsle but we had the opportunity to see much of the American country side. 14 states in 30 days including seeing Yellowstone, Mt Rushmore and Goblin Valley to name a few. Travelling with 3 dogs in a Mini Van for 30 days was interesting. It has inspired us to plan a road trip to AKC Nationals in 2007, hopefully Darren will come along this time.

Minnie whelped 8 beautiful babies on the 11th April 2006. We were hoping for a nice Black Tri Male to add to our household. However our little blue girl decided to worm her way into our hearts and stay. We couldn't be more happy with this litter and the homes we found for our guys.

Strider was shown early in the year and pretty much took the year off until Nationals. He did however manage to pick up a Group 2, a couple of Group 3's and a Group 4. At Nationals he also achieved a Premier Champion award under Judge: Kirsten Rush.

Loki was our over achiever this year! With a very sparatic trialing year he managed to pick up 4 new titles, his NA NAJ RS-N and GS-N as well as a HIT - Novice at a PASA Trial. He also managed to WOW them at Nationals and picked up a couple of Premier Champions as well as a BEST OF BREED at the Heart of Texas Preshow under Breeder Judge Nikki Hengy!!! He finished his agility year picking up a Q in Open Standard and Two Q's in Jumpers with Weaves on the 30th and 31st of December! He saved his title runs for the next day starting off 2007 on a winning note!!!

Rah was a new addition for the year. She is a bossy little blue bitch with a ton of drive and attitude. She shows many of the same attributes as Loki which means she is a handful. Rah has had a rather succesful show career for a young pup. As a 12 week old puppy enjoyed a road trip with Susan and her gang to Washington! She did great and picked up a couple of Best of Breed Puppies.

In September she went to the ASCA Nationals and manage to place in her class all 3 Pre-Shows against some very stiff competition. She saved the best till last picking up a 1st place in 4-6 Blue Merle Bitch class and making the cut for Best of Breed Puppy. In November Rah won Best of Breed Puppy at San Louis Obispo KC and went on the take a Puppy Group 1. She will be concentrating on her agility foundation in the beginning of 2007.
