Rah Herding

We had a quiet weekend planned, then the offer of taking a couple of dogs down to see sheep was made. Well, the offer was too hard to refuse and Rah and Strider headed down to Julie's.

Strider had seen stock before and showed some interested. He did a whole lot better when I disappeared and was locked up in the trailer so I could watch but he couldn't see me!

It was Rah's first time on sheep. She had seen sheep from afar at Susan's house but never up close. She discovered the joys of eating sheep poop but managed to keep her eyes on the sheep while her nose did the hard work.

I was amazed at how she worked off Julie's pressure and kept her focus on the stock. She worked out wider than I expected for her first time and never really gave up. Not bad for a 10 month old puppy. I was also happy to see Rah had no issues about me standing there and watching while Julie worked her.

Thanks for a great weekend Julie. It was great to see my guys on stock.
